Hi, I'm Hamid Gul Sherzai — a husband, father, entrepreneur, photographer, and someone endlessly curious about how people build meaningful lives.
I spend my days managing commercial real estate, exploring new business ideas, taking photographs, reading books, and thinking about how to create more freedom through ownership.
This website is my notebook — a place where I document what I’m building, learning, reading, and discovering along the way.
A few things about me
I Build.
I enjoy creating things that solve real problems—from commercial solar projects to businesses that generate lasting value.
I Read.
Books have shaped how I think about business, habits, psychology, and life. Reading helps me borrow wisdom from people I may never meet.
I Photograph.
Photography teaches me to slow down and notice details most people miss. Many of the images on this website are moments I've collected over the years.
I Write.
Writing helps me think clearly. Most of what I publish is simply an attempt to understand life a little better.
My Story
You could say that my life has been shaped by curiosity.
I studied Business Administration, but I was always interested in many different things at once. Entrepreneurship fascinated me. So did psychology, productivity, photography, habits, and the way small decisions compound over time.
I don't believe life is about finding one identity and sticking to it forever.
I think it's about staying curious, continuing to learn, and building a life aligned with your values.
Over the years, I’ve found myself wearing many hats: managing family businesses, working on solar projects, exploring new ventures, taking photographs, and trying to become a better husband and father.
I’ve failed at plenty of things too.
I tried learning how to code several times and gave up more than once. Yet somehow, despite having no formal technical background, I ended up building this website myself.
That probably says more about me than any list of accomplishments ever could.
I don’t have all the answers.
I’m simply documenting the journey. The businesses I’m building, the books I’m reading, the photographs I’m taking, and the lessons I’m learning.
