ReadWhy I read
I don’t read just to finish books. I read to experience the lives of people who have already walked difficult paths. Entrepreneurs, philosophers, psychologists, and storytellers have spent years learning lessons that I can absorb in a few days. Through their books, I get to learn from their mistakes, decisions, and discoveries.
How I choose Books
Most of the books I pick are widely recommended and have stood the test of time. If millions of readers found value in a book, I believe it’s worth exploring. At the same time, curiosity often leads me into subjects I know very little about, and some of my best discoveries have come from those unexpected choices.
Understanding Matters More Than Finishing
I don’t believe the goal of reading is to collect books. The goal is to understand them. A single idea that changes the way I think is more valuable than reading ten books that leave no lasting impact. That’s why I take notes and revisit them regularly to refresh my memory and apply what I’ve learned.
My Reading Philosophy
Not every book is exciting from the first chapter. I try to give even difficult books a fair chance before deciding whether they are truly useful. Some of the most valuable insights are hidden in books that require patience.
Why This Page Exists
This page is a public record of my intellectual journey. It shows what I’m reading now, what I’ve already read, and what I hope to read next. Over time, it will reflect not only the books on my shelf but also the evolution of my thinking and the ideas that shape my life, business, and decisions.
One Book That Changed Me
If I had to name the most impactful book I’ve read so far, it would be The Egyptian. It taught me that while technology and societies change, human ambition, fear, love, pride, greed, and resilience remain remarkably constant. Understanding people is often more valuable than understanding events.
My Story
You could say that my life has been shaped by curiosity.
I studied Business Administration, but I was always interested in many different things at once. Entrepreneurship fascinated me. So did psychology, productivity, photography, habits, and the way small decisions compound over time.
Over the years, I’ve found myself wearing many hats: managing family businesses, working on solar projects, exploring new ventures, taking photographs, and trying to become a better husband and father.
